Joe Lewis

Joe Lewis from Port Talbot, is as a key member of the team at Vale Europe Ltd’s nickel refinery. The 21-year-old is employed in the company’s procurement and stores team, Joe works to develop strategic tools used by the refinery to set goals and targets.

As well as synchronising a continuous improvement model with business strategy, he has used his skills and initiative to speed up the purchase order process, develop a workbook that tracks high-level projects and improved the company’s contract management systems. Having completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in Business Administration delivered by Acorn Learning Solutions, Joe has now progressed to an apprenticeship.
