Crippling anxieties, no self-confidence and a desire to hide away from everyone was once the norm for Billy Brown. He rarely attended school, grew up in a chaotic household and for three years locked himself away in his bedroom.

However, all that is behind the 18-year-old from Barry because he found the courage to enrol in the three-month Prince’s Trust Team Programme, run by training provider People Business-Wales Ltd. Three months after starting the Traineeship Engagement Programme, the youngster revelled in a two-week work taster with Crystal IT and built friendships on the back of a residential stay.
