Phase 2 implementation of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016

The act establishes a new system of regulation and inspection which upholds the rights of Welsh citizens to dignified, safe and appropriate care and support.

We are consulting on improvements to the regulation of social care that will create a new, stronger regulation and inspection regime which will improve oversight of the whole service an organisation provides.

We are also seeking your views on draft statutory guidance developed under section 29 of the act which provides further detail about compliance with the requirements set out in the regulations.
