The Chief Medical Officer for Wales confirmed four further cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Wales today and yesterday:

This brings the total number of cases to six.

We will continue to identify cases of the virus, isolate people, and trace anyone who has been in contact with them. These actions will prevent the virus taking hold in Wales for as long as practically possible.

I have authorised funding to enable personal protection equipment to be issued to all GP surgeries from today to protect frontline staff.

We will consider further measures and all steps necessary to protect the health of the people of Wales.

I will provide an oral statement to the Chamber on Tuesday.
