DevOpsGuys
Nominated for Innovation, Science & Technology award
DevOpsGuys, a digital consultancy based in Cardiff, is demonstrating the vitality and diverse skills needed for success in the field of digital innovation and encapsulates the best the Welsh tech industry has to offer.
From humble beginnings in 2014 in a Cardiff co-working space (“Founder’s Hub”) DevOpsGuys has rapidly grown to become an award-winning internationally recognised IT services company, currently employing over 80 staff. Year on year they are strengthening their client portfolio, working with global multi-national companies and public sector departments.
James Smith and Steve Thair, founders of the company, are deemed ‘thought leaders’ in the digital arena. In 2017 James was recognised as Technology Leader of the Year by The Electronic and Software Technologies Network for Wales and SME Director of the Year by the Institute of Directors (IOD), while Steve was appointed to the Regional Director Program to advise Microsoft leadership, joining a group of only 150 advisors world-wide. DevOpsGuys, named as one of ‘The Digital Dozen’, have won many awards including SME of the Year, Creative & Digital Start Up of the Year and Cardiff Region Start Up of the Year.
Today, DevOpsGuys are committed to putting Wales on the map as a world-leading hub for digital innovation and skills. To ensure that the company remains at the forefront of digital innovation, the company invests significantly in continual training and development for staff, which has resulted in the formation of an academy offering apprenticeships, internships and graduate placements; creating an environment that fosters innovation and digital skills for the next generation of industry talent.
