The consultation sets out proposals for the introduction of fixed penalty notices to address the issue of persistent unauthorised absence from school.
Consultation description
In considering the most suitable strategy for improving attendance particularly for unauthorised absences it is proposed that penalty notices would in some circumstances provide a suitable quick and effective measure for improving levels of unauthorised absences.
