Professor John Atack Sêr Cymru Professor in translational drug discovery at Cardiff University

Professor John Atack is a molecular pharmacologist who also has extensive pharmaceutical company experience and an outstanding track record in drug discovery in academia. The Cardiff University Translational Drug Discovery Centre was launched in March 2019.  Its aim is to transform Wales’ ability to translate fundamental discoveries in disease processes into new drugs.

The Centre is led by professor Atack, along with professor Simon Ward.
