This report contains the second year of experimental statistics and relates to measures of achievement (i.e. learning programme completion and attainment of qualifications) for post-16 learning for school sixth forms and further education institutions.
General education (programmes focusing on AS/A level and equivalent qualifications)
- 92% of those who enrolled in 2016/17 completed the year. Around fourth-fifths of these continued onto the second year of the programme.
- Of those who enrolled in 2016/17, 69% completed the two year programme (in 2017/18) and 62% achieved the equivalent of 3 A levels at grade A* to E.
Vocational programmes (programmes focusing on vocational study)
- The learning activity success rate for those undertaking vocational programmes in colleges in 2017/18 was 83%.
