Main points (provisional data)

In July 2018 to June 2019:

63% of waste was reused/recycled/composted, unchanged from the year ending June 2018.

In April to June 2019:

67% of municipal waste was reused/recycled/composted, a 2 percentage point increase on the same quarter of 2018, and the highest quarterly rate to date.
400,000 tonnes of municipal waste were generated, a 7% decrease on the same quarter of 2018.
