This research was commissioned to inform the development of future arrangements for funding post-16 additional learning needs in schools and further education.
The research involved a mixture of desk based analysis, interviews and focus groups with a range to stakeholders to investigate the following issues:
- existing provision of post-19 education
- demand for post-19 education
- cost effectiveness
- how to develop post-19 education provision in Wales for young people with complex learning difficulties.
