The new 210 place primary school replaced old junior and infant school buildings and provides a new state of the art community focussed centre of learning for students and the wider community. The new building has also been designed and constructed to the highest environmental standards.
The Welsh Government provided £2.25 million through the 21st Century Schools and Education Programme towards the total project cost of £4.5 million.

“We want all of our children and young people to love going to school and an important part of that is making sure they’re learning in modern and vibrant environments.
“It’s been great today to see that ambition in action, seeing first hand the difference our 21st Century Schools and Education Programme has made in building this fantastic new school.
“We are investing £1.4 billion through our 21st Century Schools and Education Programme to rebuild and refurbish over 150 schools and colleges in Wales and only this week in my draft Budget I announced a further £30m for the Programme.
“It’s plain to see Raglan VC Primary School has a bright future and I’m glad to see Welsh Government funding being used to deliver long term benefits for the children in the school and the community as a whole.”
