This headline provides a summary of the latest key statistics relating to the Welsh labour market, and includes experimental statistics from HMRC’s Pay As You Earn Real Time Information and data from the Labour Force Survey (LFS).
The StatsWales tables ‘Claimant count by Welsh local area, variable and month (not seasonally adjusted) - Expermimental statistics’ and ‘Seasonally adjusted claimant count data by UK country/English region, variable and month (experimental statistics)' (StatsWales) have not been updated this month (August 2024) due to an issue in the Welsh claimant count data published on Nomis. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) are investigating the issue and the two StatsWales tables will be updated after the issue is resolved. The latest claimant count figures for Wales can be accessed in the Labour Market Overview bulletin or on the ONS website: table HI10 Regional labour market: headline indicators for Wales.
