Iestyn Tudur-Jones Member
Iestyn is General Manager of Welsh Lamb & Beef Producers Ltd(WLBP) and a graduate from Aberystwyth University with a degree in Rural Resource Management.
He is responsible for the day to day management of WLBP and the Farm Assured Welsh Livestock scheme as well as its certification body, Quality Welsh Food Certification. As company secretary of Iechyd Da, the veterinary consortium of Welsh vets and WLBP, Iestyn has played a role in the evolution of the current Veterinary Delivery Programme (VDP) regime in Mid and South Wales.
A strong proponent of a closer working relationship between farmers, vets and Welsh Government, Iestyn has recently worked to develop a platform to enable farmers and vets to accurately calculate the level of antibiotic consumption on Welsh beef, lamb and dairy farms.
