The helpline operates between 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 12pm on weekends. Outside of these hours, voicemails can be left.

Workshops

Introduction to hosting talks

These talks are for prospective hosts and will help you prepare to go into hosting in a reflective and positive way.

Initial training talks for hosts

These include discussions of trauma, vicarious trauma, managing expectations, setting house rules, safeguarding and orientation.

Host support workshops

These small group discussions are facilitated by an expert practitioner. You can talk about the ups and downs of hosting and consider the importance of your own wellbeing, in a safe space.

All talks and workshops can be booked by emailing UkraineHostSupport@housingjustice.org.uk.

Sessions take place on Zoom and last 1 and a half hours.

Welsh language talks are available.
