Background
The 2023/24 Health and Social Care (H&SC) Climate Emergency National Programme Funding Scheme (‘the Funding Scheme’) has been set up to fund projects from across the social care sector that contribute to reducing emissions or help the sector adapt to the impacts of climate change.
The Welsh Government receives personal information on nominated project lead/s as part of data collection linked to the administration of the Funding Scheme.
Upon receipt of the information, the Welsh Government becomes the data controller for it.
The personal data collected is the name and work email address of the nominated project lead/s.
What do we do with your information?
In our remit as the data controller, the Welsh Government uses the information received for the below purposes. These purposes are necessary so as to enable us to carry out our public task and in the exercise of our official authority.
The personal data collected will be used to allow Welsh Government to work with the project lead/s to administrate the Funding Scheme, including for progress reporting purposes and communication activity. Case studies and articles on the funded projects may be published on Welsh Government’s website and on websites associated with the work of the Health and Social Care Climate Emergency National Programme.
Who do we share your information with?
The personal information held by Welsh Government will not be shared without the permission of the project lead/s.
How long will we keep your information?
Welsh Government will use this data until the end of the 2023/24 Funding Scheme (30th April 2024) at which point the information held will be archived and subject to Welsh Government retention period. Your personal data will not be used for any other purpose without your consent.
Your rights in relation to your information.
You have the right to:
- access to the Personal data that we are processing about you;
- require us to rectify inaccuracies in that data;
- the right (in certain circumstances) to object to processing; the right for your data to be ‘erased’; lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) who is our independent regulator for data protection.
