The report looks at peoples’ gambling activities and behaviours within the last 12 months for April 2022 to March 2023.
This is the latest release
63% of people said they took part in some form of gambling in the last 12 months.
The majority of gamblers only purchased lotteries and scratchcards.
People who gambled were more likely to have one or more of the following characteristics:
- be aged between 45 to 64
- not be part of a minority ethnic group
- be employed
- have internet access
10% of people who gambled were identified as ‘at risk’, using the Problem Gambling Severity Index.
