The amount of funding allocated to Welsh Government Main Expenditure Groups (MEGs) for 2018-19 is £15.3bn.

The draft Budget for 2018-19 prioritises the public services we all rely on – our NHS, our social services and our schools.

The draft Budget was published in 2 stages: an outline draft Budget on 3 October 2017 and a detailed draft Budget on the 24 October 2017. For the first time ever, this draft Budget outlines our taxation and our borrowing proposals, as we exercise the new fiscal responsibilities which have come to Wales.

The outline draft Budget, as well as setting out taxation and borrowing proposals, outlines the strategic spending plans for revenue and capital. The detailed draft Budget explains how each Cabinet Secretary has allocated funding within their portfolio in line with our collective priorities.

The draft Budget presents revenue spending plans for 2 years and capital spending plans for 3 years. How would you spend our £15bn budget on public services? Put your ideas to the test using our new budget simulator.
