Driver license checks

We have extended our driver license checks framework agreement until 3 December 2021.

Vehicle spares

Don’t forget, our vehicle spares framework agreement expires on 31 December 2020. We expect that the replacement agreement will be live in spring 2021.

We published a prior information notice (PIN) seeking expressions of interest from the supply market. We held an event on the 27 November, which was attended by 11 interested suppliers.

If you want to continue using our services under the existing agreement until the new framework is live, you must set up a call-off contract with the supplier in your region by 31 December 2020. Due to the ongoing uncertainties around COVID-19, we recommend that this is for 6 months with an option to extend for a further 6 months. There is no need to run a further competition. You may want to include a clause allowing you to transfer onto the new agreement within either 6 month period.

If you have any queries, please email: NPSFleet@gov.wales.

Vehicle hire II framework renewal

Our current framework expires in June 2021.

We aim to start the renewal of this framework in the New Year. We will engage with public sector organisations to help inform our procurement strategy.

We are seeking volunteers to participate in our customer focus group (CFG) to develop a specification that will help organisations reach their decarbonisation goals.

If you have any queries, or wish to participate in our customer focus group, please email: NPSFleet@gov.wales.
