This report presents findings from a survey exploring practitioners and professionals views on the implementation of the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) system.
This is the latest release in the series: Evaluation of the Additional Learning Needs system
The report summarises findings of a survey of practitioners and professionals in schools, pupil referral units (PRUs), Further Education Institutions (FEIs), Independent Special post-16 institutions (ISPIs), local authorities (LAs) and local health boards (LHBs). A total of 603 responses to the survey were received.
The survey questionnaire was informed by the theory of change for the ALN system outlined in the evaluation scoping report and findings are presented in relation to the following themes:

- The role of the ALNCo
- Identification of ALN
- Planning
- Provision
- Review processes
