The report brings together evidence on the factors that shape differential experiences of school for pupils from ethnic minority backgrounds.

The research draws upon published literature and case study visits to selected initiatives. Case studies were undertaken in response to the lack of documented good practice in Wales on raising attainment of pupils from ethnic minority backgrounds. The case studies examine activities relating to mentoring, outreach, capacity building and celebrating diversity.
