IT Products and Services 2

The IT Products and Services 2 framework was awarded on 30 June 2020, and is due to go live on 15 July for customers to use.

21 suppliers have been appointed across 5 lots covering:

  1. IT catalogue
  2. IT hardware (small customer organisations and Original Equipment Manufacturer)
  3. Software (licensing and subscriptions)
  4. Audio visual equipment
  5. Solutions

Guidance and templates will be available on Sell2Wales in due course.

We have taken the decision to withdraw the award for sub-lot 2b (IT hardware, large customer organisations). We intend to reset the tender process for this sub-lot to the evaluation stage, before re-evaluating the tenders.

Microsoft Azure Pricing Arrangement (APA)

Microsoft and the Crown Commercial Service have announced a new memorandum of understanding that offers a baseline discount on Azure costs, with the opportunity for higher discounts based on levels of committed spend over 3 years. You can find out more information on the APA here: Microsoft and UK Government agree new Azure Pricing Arrangement.

CCS is undertaking an exercise to combine the spend of different organisations, so that they qualify for the highest level of discount possible, where they would not be able to do this on their own.

If you would like more information on this opportunity, or would like to register your interest, please contact:

Stephen Hopkins, Category Manager – Software, Crown Commercial Service:

You will need to provide the following information:

  1. Approximate baseline annual Azure spend (CCS will need this to begin commitment discussion)
  2. Correct contact(s) who can discuss your Azure estate and ability to commit to future spend
  3. Short summary of your Azure strategy, e.g. desire to migrate to Azure (to help with negotiations with Microsoft).

Multi-functional devices (MFD)

Our MFD framework is due to expire on 22 January 2021. We are currently assessing our options moving forward and will be contacting customer organisations to complete a feedback survey over the coming weeks.

eTenderwales - Jaggaer

The Jaggaer 20.2 update is scheduled for release into the eTenderwales live environment on 19 July 2020.

New features include an update to online help, ease of retrieving a forgotten password and improved filtering and search capability within objects. Full list of enhancements on

European Single Procurement Document (ESPD)

ESPD is a legal requirement for all EU procurements and is currently available within Sell2wales. In February, we entered a testing phase to determine how best to make use of the ESPD functionality. Due to redeployment of staff in response to COVID-19, this activity had to be paused. We are now in a position to restart this work in the coming weeks, and will continue to update customers on progress.
