National Procurement Service framework updates.
Digital procurement strategy
A strategic outline case is being developed to identify what the future eProcurement landscape could look like beyond 2020.
We have invited public sector procurement and digital stakeholders to attend workshops in north and south Wales to explore this in March 2019.
The workshops will be run by Garnter to identify the most suitable technologies, which may be considered for further analysis. The output from these workshops will feed into the strategic outline case.
If you have not yet registered your interest to attend, please email NPSICTCategoryTeam@gov.wales
NPS structured cabling framework agreement
The Structured Cabling framework began on 1 August 2016 for an initial 2 year period. Last year the decision was made to extend the framework for one year until 31 July 2019.
The framework will not be extended further and will expire on the 31 July 2019.
Commitments from New Call-Off contracts can be accepted by suppliers up to and including 31 July 2019. No orders can be accepted through this framework after 31 July 2019.
Existing Call-off Contract commitments (that have an expiry date beyond the 31 July 2019) may continue beyond the expiry of the framework.
We will continue to contract manage the framework until all Call-off Contracts have ended and the associated spend information and KPI’s have been reported by suppliers.
We have informed suppliers of the decision and the Sell2Wales buyer area has been updated.
The Agile Digital and ICT Resources Agreement (ADIRA) is now live. The call off template is available in the framework Help and Resources area of Sell2Wales website.
Our supplier, Bloom in conjunction with its partner Atebion, are engaging with customers. If you are interested in signing up to use the Agreement and would like to discuss it, please contact NPSICTCategoryTeam@gov.wales
For further information, please email our mailbox or visit Sell2Wales.
IT products and services (ITPS) framework
The NPS IT products and services framework is due to expire in January 2020.
A scoping exercise is currently underway to establish the next steps for when the agreement ends.
Customer and supplier workshops will begin in March. They will provide stakeholders with an opportunity to feed into the process. We have created a survey to show how a possible second-generation framework could look. We hope that the survey will provide us with enough feedback to help us create the best possible model. Responses are completely anonymous and a report will be available when we have completed this work.
Please complete the survey by 31st March 2019.
