Avian influenza was confirmed at a game establishment in Anglesey on 27 January 2021. Following further testing this was confirmed as highly pathogenic avian influenza on 28 January 2021. 

All birds on the infected premises have been humanely culled. Following successful completion of disease control activities within the zone, the area forming the Protection Zone will now become part of the Surveillance Zone
