Exempting calves from routine TB testing of herds

Movement restrictions will not be served in those herds where cattle over 180 days of age test clear at routine TB tests.

TB testing during Covid-19

The Minister for Environment, Energy and Rural Affairs has agreed to continue with the current approach to TB testing arrangements during the COVID-19 pandemic. Testing for TB should only continue on farms providing it is safe to do so. Vets will contact farm owners before any testing takes place to ensure it is safe to attend, and all those involved should maintain proper social distancing requirements. Welsh Government officials are to keep the matter under continual review.
