New curriculum requirements for all learners aged 3 to 16 in maintained or funded non-maintained nursery education.
Details
The Bill will create new curriculum requirements for all learners aged 3 to 16 in maintained or funded non-maintained nursery education. It will replace the current national curriculum and basic curriculum.
Changing the law
The Bill primarily replaces Part 7 of the Education Act 2002, which sets out the current curriculum arrangements. These existing provisions are not flexible and responsive enough to stay in step with ongoing shifts in technology and developments in our society and economy.
