This report provides a first set of experimental statistics while we finalise the measures and resolve outstanding methodology and data quality issues.
This report relates to measures of achievement (i.e. learning programme completion and attainment of qualifications) and gives an update on value added. A separate report provides information on learner destinations.
General education (programmes focusing on AS/A level and equivalent qualifications)
- 83% of those who enrolled in 2015/16 completed the year. Around three quarters of these continued onto the second year of the programme.
- Of those who enrolled in 2015/16, 60% completed the two year programme (in 2016/17) and 52% achieved the equivalent of 3 A levels at grade A* to E.
Vocational programmes (programmes focusing on vocational study)
- The learning activity success rate for those undertaking vocational programmes in colleges in 2016/17 was 82%.
