The CIPS corporate award forms part of the Welsh Government’s capacity and capability programme. The programme aims to provide staff with professional development opportunities, creates professionals of the future, addresses the capacity issues faced across the profession and raises the profile of procurement in Wales. We have funded over 194 places across the Corporate Award Programme, and we hope to support the growth of the profession in the future.

The corporate award study route is assignment-based, consisting of 5 modules with an assignment required at the end of each module in the place of an exam. The course content is tailored for the Welsh public sector to ensure it is relevant and reflects Welsh procurement policies and wider Welsh Government strategies and drivers. This programme is only available to new entrants. If you are currently part way through studying the CIPS programme at an existing Welsh university, you will be unable to apply. This is to preserve the existing intake of students at our Welsh higher education institutions.

If you have already completed the CIPS L4 Diploma or have successfully passed the CIPS competency assessment you may be eligible for the Advanced Practitioner Programme.
