Renewable energy and transition update.
The Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) scheme provides transparency to consumers about the proportion of electricity that suppliers source from renewable generation.
Customers should have received their REGO certificates for 2020/21. The certificates confirm that:
- 100% of the electricity supplied through EDF is renewable
- 86% of the electricity supplied through EDF is generated in Wales. This is an increase from 63% the previous year.
The majority of customers have migrated their gas supply from Corona Energy to Total Energies (TE).
