Building materials framework
There is a global surge in demand for materials in the construction industry. This is leading to product shortages, price inflation and longer lead times. This, combined with the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, is having an unprecedented impact on supply chains resulting in market volatility, which is expected to continue into 2022.
We will issue a Procurement Policy Note shortly. This will advise contracting authorities on how to manage market pressures affecting the availability and affordability of products.
