Broadband is a way of connecting to the internet. It allows information to be carried at high speed to your personal computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, smart TV or other web-enabled device. Ofcom's basic guide to broadband gives more information on common ways most homes and business connect to the internet.

We want everyone to be able to get fast, reliable broadband and most properties in Wales can already access fast broadband thanks to our Superfast Cymru programme. Regardless of the speeds you need, there are options and support available to help you.
