Thank you for your request to the Welsh Government for information under the Freedom of Information Act (2000) received on 19 April 2022 relating to the dental services in Wales. You specifically requested the following:

Data published in September 2021 showed that in 2020 to 2021, there were 1,389 dentists with NHS activity recorded in Wales. How many dentists are currently providing NHS services in Wales?

Our response

Welsh Government does not hold any further data than currently published on StatsWales: Current contract. This data is published annually and the next available update will provisionally be in September for 2021-22.
