Dear                  ,

ATISN 16206

Thank you for your request for information dated 26 March.

Information requested

The latest estimated costs and carbon emissions for the various options being considered for the Pant-Llanymnech bypass.

Our Response

I can confirm that we hold some information relating to your request.

The latest projected outturn costs for the 5 selected options under consideration are as follows –

Option 1 – £6.4 million

Option 2 – £165 million

Option 3 – £233 million

Option 4 – £265 million

Option 5 - £378 million

At this stage of the project development the proposed options are not at an advanced enough stage to be able to calculate any meaningful embedded carbon computations.  However once the alternative options have been narrowed down to a short list a calculation will then be undertaken.
