Details about your office/room/space you have in Brussels which is allocated to the Welsh Government:
How much is this room whatever, costing?
How much is the salary of your 'representative'?
What amount are his travelling expenses back and forth to Wales?
How much is he allocated for daily expenses meals etc.?
What are his expenses for accommodation in Brussels?
I have set out the answers to each of your questions below.
- How much is this room costing?
The European Representative post is based in Wales but requires periodic travel to Brussels. Whether working from Wales or Brussels he uses existing Welsh Government office and so no additional cost is incurred
- How much is the salary of your representative?
This is a two-year contract, on a part-time basis equivalent to two days a week. I have enclosed a link to the job advert. Welsh Government’s Representative on Europe, Job Advert
- What amount are his travelling expenses back and fore to Wales?
The Representative on Europe will travel regularly to Brussels and the budget for his activity is £15,000. This includes travel, accommodation and any expenses claimed.
- How much is he allocated for daily expenses meals etc.
The Representative on Europe does not receive a daily allocation for expenses. Expenses are claimed only when costs are incurred during official business.
- What are his expenses for accommodation in Brussels?
The Representative on Europe is based in Wales. Any official business travel to Brussels involving an overnight stay will be met within the parameters of the Welsh Government’s travel and subsistence policy and within the budget for his activity.
