Katie Parry dropped out of school sixth form to follow her dream of becoming a successful hairdresser and business owner. Four years on, she has her own business, KT’s Salon Ladies & Gents, in Bangor which is so successful that she is planning to expand into larger premises in the new year.
Katie, 23, from Bangor, attributes her success to the skills and knowledge developed by completing apprenticeships in Hairdressing and Barbering through Busnes@LlandrilloMenai. She is now seeking a Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4) in Hairdressing.
She said:
“The Apprenticeship Programme has given me a vast amount of opportunities to help develop my skills and the confidence to be able to open my own business. If you follow your dreams, anything is possible.”
