The External Accountability Group ensures the effective delivery of the Anti-racist Wales Action Plan by guiding, co-designing, challenging the Welsh Government and public services, and holding them accountable.

In summary, the Accountability Group’s core focus is to ensuring delivery of the Plan, monitoring progress on actions and commitments and ensuring momentum is maintained. 

The External Accountability Group (EAG) are an essential component of the ArWAP governance structure. The EAG comprises 11 Diversity Representatives and 7 Experts to help hold Government and public services to account. 

There is also representation from other key organisations such as Welsh Government, Wales TUC, Welsh Local Government Association, Wales Council for Voluntary Action, Equality and Human Rights Commission and others.
