Original consultation
We want your views on a new regulatory framework for adoption services in Wales. This forms part of phase 3 of the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016, due to come into effect in April 2019.
Consultation description
We are consulting on draft regulations which:
- place requirements on regulated adoption service providers and responsible individuals
- place similar requirements upon local authority adoption service providers and their managers.
We are also seeking your views on:
- draft statutory guidance and a code of practice which accompany the regulations
- options for the future of independent reviews of determinations for adoption.
During the consultation period we will be holding information events.
- 6 November in Cardiff
- 8 November in Wrexham
