Details
The Order is considered necessary in the interests of highway safety. The de-restriction and permanent 40 mph speed limit are recommended from the speed limit review carried out at this location in accordance with “Setting Local Speed Limits in Wales”. The de-restriction is required to allow vehicles to travel at the national speed limit over the length of road specified in Schedule 1 to the Order which otherwise would be restricted to 30 mph by virtue of street lighting.
The 40 mph speed limit will apply over the length specified in Schedule 2 to the Order and the A483 Trunk Road (Southern Approach to Tycroes, Ammanford, Carmarthenshire) (40 & 50 mph Speed Limit) Order 2002 will be revoked.
