The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT), Machynlleth

CAT is an education and visitor centre which demonstrates practical solutions for sustainability. It offers a free information service on all aspects of sustainable living. The Education Department arranges school programmes tied in with the National Curriculum. There is a range of residential courses - from weekends to a year-long MSc. National Botanic Garden of Wales (NBGW), Llanarthne, Carmarthenshire

NBGW’s science programme concentrates on two areas: what we can do for plants and what plants can do for us. It concentrates on the biodiversity of Wales and the UK and the medicinal properties of plants and natural products. NBGW runs a wide variety of curriculum-linked programmes and courses for schools and colleges on site and in school. Techniquest Cardiff

Techniquest Glyndŵr (TQG), Wrexham
