This annex to the Development Management Manual provides additional technical guidance on what is required to submit a valid planning application.

The validation process identifies whether the information requirements for the application type have been met. For most applications, the Standard Application Form together with additional documents referred to on the form (for example flood consequences assessments), will provide both certainty for applicants and sufficient information for Local Planning Authorities to determine an application.

This annex provides information listing what is required for each application type and reflects the legal requirements set out in the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales) Order 2012 and the other listed statutory instruments.
