Following a review of Public Safety Zone policy and administration, it has been decided to prepare guidance for local planning authorities, to enable them to decide planning applications and consider road proposals affecting land within Public Safety Zones.
The Welsh Assembly Government takes a close interest in the development of airports and air services in Wales, but it is not a devolved matter and responsibility remains with the Department for Transport.
