The appeal is allowed and outline planning permission granted subject to conditions.

This planning appeal involved a proposal for residential development (1,200 homes approximately), retail and community development, landscaping and highways. The proposal comprises:

  • up to 1200 homes
  • a Village Core including potential community facilities and recycling centre
  • sustainable transport links

The planning appeal was subject to a public inquiry. The Inspector appointed to hold the inquiry prepared a report for the Minister for Housing and Regeneration.
