Planning permission has been granted subject to conditions.

The application sought planning permission for the demolition of an existing retail unit, works to re-profile ground levels, creation of a flood conveyance ditch with land drainage connection to the river and development of a food store (use class a1) petrol filling station and car park.

The planning application was considered by an independent Planning Inspector who held a hearing in respect of the application. The Inspector prepared a report for the Minister for Natural Resources.

The Minister agreed with the Inspector’s recommendation that planning permission should be granted subject to conditions.
