Supplier qualification information database (SQuID)

The SQuID simplifies and standardises the selection stage of procurement.

The SQuID approach makes the contracting process easier for buyers and suppliers, and is especially helpful for small businesses. Public sector buying organisations are all committed to using the SQuID questions to generate their question sets. Suppliers can prepare answers to standard questions for re-use in other procurement exercises.

The new Public Contracts Regulations came into force on 26 February 2015. In response, we have amended the SQuID question set on sell2Wales and Version 3 should now be used.  Please note, that Version 2 questions should not be used after this date.

If you are a public sector buyer you can now use a tool on Sell2Wales (external link) to generate a SQuID question set. The SQuID is also available online on the eTenderwales tool (external link), where suppliers’ answers are also stored on the system to be used in other procurements. If you have access to eTenderwales but need guidance on the use of SQuID please contact: VWPolicy@wales.gsi.gov.uk
