North Wales Coast Regeneration Area Community Fund
A separate, RWE Innogy UK Limited (external link) renewables fund has supported grants worth a total of £306,068.
In all, 84 community projects have been supported through the two schemes. Thirty-eight projects received our Regeneration Area funding, 30 received Regeneration Area and RWE Innogy UK Limited funding and 16 received funding from RWE Innogy UK Limited only.
The North Wales Regeneration Area Community Fund has now closed. RWE Innogy UK Limited are continuing to provide funding for community projects for areas of the North Wales coast linked to the Rhyl Flats offshore Wind Farm. This is linked to the Retail Price Index and will continue during the life of the wind farm.
A new RWE Innogy UK Limited fund will become available in July 2014 supporting capital and revenue based projects. The money will be available for projects between a minimum of £2,000 and a maximum of £10,000.
