Provides a framework for agencies to work together to deliver services and support to carers.

The strategy outlines the key actions we will undertake to support carers for the remainder of this Assembly term, up to 2016.

There are 5 priority areas:

  1. Health and social care
  2. Identification, information and consultation
  3. Young carers and young adult carers
  4. Support and a life outside of the caring role
  5. Carers and employment.

Carers Delivery Plan

We will continue to work with stakeholders and partners to develop their own Action Plans. These will identify the commitments of local government and local health boards, as well as the contribution from the voluntary sector.
