Following consultation revised Standards have been developed for use in hospital settings in Wales.

These provide technical guidance for caterers, dietitians and nursing staff responsible for meeting the nutritional needs of patients who are capable of eating and drinking.  

The Standards replace the Welsh Government Nutrition and Catering Framework of 2002.  All hospital settings in Wales should achieve full compliance by April 2013.

A phased plan has also been developed to support implementation.
