Workstreams 

There are ten workstreams. 

People

The People workstream is led by Catrin Dowling, Welsh Government.  It is responsible for the smooth transition of staff under TUPE to the new single body and recruiting the Chief Executive and other senior staff. The other workstream members include:

  • Kathryn Davies (Cardiff University) 
  • Margaret Allan (Wales Centre for Pharmacy Professional Education).

Organisational Development 

The Organisational Development workstream is led by Tim Williams, Public Health Wales. It is responsible for creating an effective culture and collaborative approach for the organisation.

The other workstream members include:

  • Jayne Dando (WEDS).

Finance 

The Finance workstream is led by Steve Elliot, Welsh Government. It is responsible for managing the transfer of funding streams and other related costs.

  • Linsay Payne (NHS Shared Services) 
  • Richard Thomas (Cardiff University).

Governance 

The Governance workstream is led by Sioned Rees, Welsh Government. It is responsible for setting out the governance model and arrangements for the Board.

Functions and remit 

The Functions and remit workstream is led by David Pritchard, Welsh Government.  It is responsible for setting the scope, powers and areas of responsibility. The other workstream members include:

Location  

The Location workstream is led by Hazel Robinson, NHS Shared Services. It is responsible for accommodation and infrastructure arrangements. The other members include:

IT and Systems

The IT and Systems workstream is led by Peter Lloyd Jones, Welsh Government. It is responsible for ensuring that the organisation has equipment that works together on 1 April 2018 ensuring safe transfer of data and information. The other members include:

Communications and Engagement 

The Communications and Engagement workstream is led by Stuart Fitzgerald, Welsh Government. It is responsible for involving staff and stakeholders in the direction of the programme and developing a brand identity.

Legislations

The Legislation workstream is led by Becks Hawkins, Welsh Government. It is responsible for establishing HEIW as a Special Health Authority.

Business Continuity 

The Business Continuity workstream is also led by Becks Hawkins, Welsh Government. It is will ensure that the affected bodies can continue to work as usual and are set to work in April 2018.
