The Action Plan was launched in April 2009, and provides direction for the Welsh Red Meat industry by identifying strategic objectives, actions and outcomes.

Red Meat Sector Supply Chain Efficiencies Scheme Projects

Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales was successful in gaining funding for three red meat projects under the Rural Development Plan for Wales 2007 – 2013. This has resulted in a £4.5 million boost for the Welsh red meat industry.

Welsh Red Meat Roadmap

‘A sustainable future – the Welsh Red Meat Road Map’  was published by Hybu Cig Cymru – Meat Promotion Wales in July 2011. This included an Industry Action plan. The Roadmap offers stakeholders information on environmental issues, carbon reduction and increasing efficiency and profitability.
