Rights in Action: implementing children and young people’s rights in Wales outlines the contribution the Welsh Assembly Government has made, in partnership with other statutory agencies and with the voluntary sector, to furthering children’s and young people’s rights as set out in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Since devolution the UN Convention has been used proactively to shape policy and determine the way services are delivered for children and young people in Wales.

This is the first time since the UK ratified the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child that Wales has produced its own report on progress in implementing those rights.

Children’s Budgets: Technical Note

The UN Committee on the Rights of a Child has recommended that future UK Government reports should include this information.  Wales is the only country in the UK that has undertaken such an exercise.
