The Conference for Pupil Referral Units provided an opportunity to hear about policy developments in education otherwise than at school. The conference provided the opportunity to consider policies and practice, share information on best practice and help shape future approaches.

The conferences put a spotlight on alternative provision in the context of the Ministers speech Teaching makes a difference. In addition, Estyn’s recent report into standards in schools and the establishment of a new School Standards Unit.
